I use Donofrio Inspections for everything inspection related. They have done many inspections for my clients including radon, mold and standard home inspections. Give them a call.

I bought radon detectors from Home Depot and they recorded a 10 in the basement and I think a 6 upstairs. Installed Radon abatement system and the next time was < 1. You leave the detectors out for a few days and mail to the company get your results on line in 48 hours. Cost was $10 - $20. Testing company did not know where I put the detectors in the house, or if I had performed any abatement, so I am confident I was not being scammed. If you need it certified for testing, might have to contract out like Jeddie mentioned.
