It looks like the newest restaurant to come to Ashburn will be Red Robin the Ryan Park Center. KLNB retail has an updated site plan on their site that shows it coming, not sure when since they haven't even started site work on that pad yet from what I could tell.

While I like the burgers and shakes at Red Robin, the noise insulation leaves alot to be desired.

We used to go to the one near the Fair Oaks mall alot, however the one at Dulles Town Center is too noisy, we couldn't have a quiet conversation, nor leave there without a headache.

    Hopefully they'll do better here.

You have to wonder what the landlords and property managers are thinking. I feel bad for all the restaurants that were lumped together by the Embassy suites. Reguardless if your product is exceptional or not that is a lot going on in one place. I have seen some good posts about Fosters but it will be very hard to compete against a restaurant that's concept is that similar, specifically burgers. Gotta hope they have some kind of non compete. I am all for bringing in all these new restaurants as it will bring new business to everyone, just put some thought into where they go.

The plaza-lords around here truly do not care about the individual businesses that occupy their strip malls from what I can see. Take the Safeway plaza for example, originally there was enough parking and space. Now they have added as much store-front as possible and the result is a lack of parking, congestion, and a loss of business for some businesses unfortunately situated -- like that pizza joint over by Cafe Panache. Who in their right mind would get take-out from them? You can't pull out of the Wendy's without crossing both lanes because the entrance and exit is so tight, in fact I saw a nice S4 curb his rim the other day trying to get out of Wendy's w/o hitting oncoming traffic.

Now look at what happened over at the icehouse plaza, that is going to be a parking nightmare, and the tenants will suffer . . .

The location by the Embassy Suites was designed, and marketed to potential renters, as a “restaurant park”. The businesses that went in there knew they were going to be lumped together with other restaurants.

Outback was looking at the one vacant building there. Don't know if they decided to move in there or not. The owner of the Italian restaurant would love to see them move in. He said he'd be quite happy with Outback's spillover crowds!

Who remembers 4 or 5 years ago when you couldn't even get a decent burger in Ashburn? Now we have 5 guys, original steakhouse, fosters, fuddruckers (to come?), and red robin!!! Holy smokes! I'm not gonna worry about whether that one spot becomes Applebees or Red Robin. I'm just happy to be able to get a good burger that wasn't cooked on my back deck!:p

Um ... please note that .. 'SKINS_FAN is not the SKINS_FAN who has been a member here since 2004.

FWIW ... I think using that single quote to create a new name can cause confusion.
