    Fellow Foodies--

Just a quick query if any one has eaten at Restaurant Nora and Asia Nora in DC area? We are entertaining business associates (for my freelance business of writing ezine articles and other publications) after Easter.

I was curious if any one had dined at the above-mentioned restaurants and your opinions (or not??) of the experience. It is the first certified organic restaurant in USA. Since I freelance writing articles concerning organic food movements and sustainable living and am pursuing my Food Science/Nutrition degree, I was curious of "y'alls" opinions.

    Thanks,

    Foodie

I've dined at Nora, but it was about 5 years ago. It was excellent then and I'm sure it hasn't deteriorated.

    Charlotte and foodies--

Thanks for your input to Restaurant Nora's and Asia Nora's restaurants. We will plan on dining there with my business associates for my freelance food writing business after Easter. I will let you know of our thoughts of Nora's restaurants.

Periodically, I get to try new and exciting food venues for restaurants, nutrition, organic food and sustainable food outlets, and other food-related events. Food writing, Food Science and Nutrition are my primary focus in writing for publication so I attend conventions, trade shows, etc. for my business. Since I am pursuing a Food Science degree, I do this as much as possible.

Perhaps one day Northern Virginia will have an Organic and Sustainable full-service restaurant and teaching forum for kids' nutrition. We shall see!

    More "food for thought"--

Any other "foodie tidbits" for your restaurant experiences is informative if you wish to post.

You might want to check out The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm in Lovettsville:

My husband and I went there for our anniversary a couple years ago. The food was very good and very unique, with emphasis on organic, local and sustainable. Based on your interests, I think you would enjoy it. Our anniversary is in January and on this particular night, we dined in their heated conservatory during a sleet storm!:)

    Charlotte and others--

Yes, I have been to the Farm and belong to local CSA(s). Community supported agriculture groups all are good--

    Charlotte,

Thanks for pointing out Patowmack Farm in Lovettsville. I can give it a second endorsement. Great food. Nice staff. Amazing setting. While the prices make it definitely out of the cheap range, it is a good value for the quality and well worth it.
