I was at Travisio's on Monday evening, late after a class. The waitress had mentioned she had just spoken with her boss and since it was slow(we were the only ones there and it was around 9PM) she was told to go ahead and close up for the night. I assume they are open until ten. Well, yesterday I went to Subway with my kids and noticed a sign on the door [Edit: on Traviso's Door] which read "closed until further notice". I think someone mentioned they had recently changed hands. My girlfriend and I have been going after our Monday night class and the soups(homemade) are fantastic. I hope they are not closing for good.

The sign on the door was at Travisios NOT subway as comfirmed by Vince here http://www.broadlandshoa.org/hoaforum/showthread.php?p=115163#post115163

IN fact if any one is interested Subway has new hours and is giving away free coffee!!!!!

Thank you MSflynn for clearing that up. Will all of you that post on here take the time to read what you write. We are all working very hard to keep our heads above water during these times and I can not afford to have some one think that one of my stores is not open.

I certainly apologize for any miscommunication. I do read what I write and I assumed you could tell I was talking about Trevisios and not Subway. Apparently I was wrong. Again, my bad, just reporting what I saw.

FYI - I stopped by Treviso's today to take a look at the sign. It says they are Temporarily Closed due to a Family Emergency. They will re-open on Monday, May 4th, just in time for your Monday nite class. Enjoy!

i am SO sad. Silk Road in Lansdowne is closed. this was some of the best food that many people NEVER knew about. this is the 2nd time in recent months a restaurant service VERY high qualty ethnic food has left Ashburn... likely moving on to a place where they CAN thrive.

Otani is also gone. NOT too surprised- Nagoya has the Japanese steakhouse game wrapped up tight.

I know we are all budgeting and trying to keep our OWN heads above water, but please PLEASE consider local businesses, contractors, restaurants and service providers when making your buying decisions. there are some GREAT ones out there and I hope they stay in biz...

    :(

We were big fans of Otani in Chantilly. But the one that opened up here was too expensive and not as good as Nagoya. Again, I have to wonder if Otani did any market survey of the area to determine that that area could support two bit Japanese steakhouses?

Sorry to see them go, but frankly when we were in the mood and could afford it, we went to Nagoya.

We headed out for Otani before going to see Star Trek in IMAX at the Udvar Hazy and were surprised to see it was closed, but then it said the Chantilly location was still open. So since we were going that way anyway, we ate there and had a great meal and fun time. Remember Thai Basil in Chantilly is pretty close too. And we've been to San Vito's in Herndon now a few times and it's just like you remember.
