Hubby said he was listening to the Junkies today, and they said Bonefish locations were being replaced by Outbacks. Please tell me it is not so! The manager and staff at Bonefish are fabulous, the food is good, and I can't remember the last time either of us has had a craving for Outback...now Bang-bang shrimp is another story!

i would imagine that OSH has an agreement that wouldn't allow Outback in that plaza- if not, then COMMON SENSE on the landlord's part would keep that from happening... although... Puccio's... Subway... who the heck knows.

I googled it, checked the Junkies website and the company's website and found nothing. Somebody is yanking your chain.

I agree with Villager; it's most probably a hoax... I searched all news sources, including the press releases from the owners and there's nothing that indicates this... Maybe they were joking that this *could* happen since it's the same owner...

Just as an FYI, Outback, Bonefish and Carrabbas are all owned by the same owner OSI Restaurant Partners, LLC.

The kernel of truth is that Outback/Bonefish had the same parent company.

You actually used the term Common Sense and landlord in the same sentence.

As well as a few others...Flemmings Steak House comes to mind.

One of the owners 2 daughters attended a Russian Ballet school with my second cousin. They would send their jet to pick up all the girls in their grade and fly them to Orlando for the weekend. The girls were giddy with excitement over it. We're talking about 12 and 13 year old students wearing Prada and Chanel...how ridiculous is that?

Not a restaurant, so my apologies for leading you awry, but Parcel Plus by Giant in Ashburn Farm has closed for business. (couldn't find a home anywhere else for this), and I miss the Loudoun Extra blog that Erica Garman did, I hope she didn't get laid off - she was a major source of county scoop.

Agreed. Her Living in LoCo blog was the best feature on Loudoun Extra.

I LOVE Cafe Rumi and don't want to see it go. I wonder why they don't ever advertise in the local restaurant coupon flyers. I think the location and fact that you can't see it from the street is the problem, because the food, prices and service are all top notch. Everyone should try it out and tell your friends.... it's definitely in a low key (if not hidden) location.

Most people just do not want to stop (not drive-thru) for breakfast anymore. I also think the location is bad. during rush hours, getting back on Waxpool is not "easy" and it is also not convenient to the immediate surrounding neighborhoods. I agree with a previous poster that actually moving into a community would benefit them.

Just walked past the storefront where Michelangelo's used to be and noticed they had pulled out the booths and were working inside. Anybody know what they are putting in there?

I passed today too and they had signage up about an open house at Il Fornio on some date. Do they own that too? Will Michelangelo become Il Fornio?

    Yay, for small biz.

Not to be confused with IL FORNAIO in Reston: this is from the Zagat's newsletter:

[IMG][IMG]the Broadlands Center space that formerly housed Michelangelo will be transformed into Forno, a family trattoria. The setting's Romanesque statuary and frescoes will be replaced by modern red-and-black decor, while the menu – from D’Acqua chefs Enzo Febbraro and Francesco Ricchi – will offer authentic Italian pizza, pastas and other wallet-friendly fare, served in family-style and personal portions. N.B. Youngsters will be able to craft their own pizzas to be baked in the namesake oven (43150 Broadlands Center Plaza, Ashburn, VA).
