I can't find these anywhere! If any of you have these on your schoool supply list and you've actually FOUND them somewhere, please let me know. I even went to Teacher's Apple and she just laughed at me. :pofl:

I know that they carry them on line at kurtz brothers- www.kurtzbros.com - they are 90 cents a pack but I have no idea what they will soak you for shipping. Have you tried the craft stores like Michaels and such? Good luck...

According to the Crayola website, the colors included in the "multicultural" pack include mahogany, apricot, burnt sienna, tan, peach, sepia, plus black and white.

You could just buy a bigger box, toss these in a baggie, and keep the rest for your kid to use at home.

My personal opinion is that this product is just more political correctness gone amuck.

All I know is that the school supply list I was given tells me I need to provide a box. But I can't find it, so I'm thinking they'll have to do without!

My mother-in-law found them at Office Depot. I will verify which store (somewhere in the Herndon area).

I, too, think these crayons are political correctness run amok as well.

Office Depot in Sterling, as of this afternoon, did not have them.

There is another Office Depot in Leesburg in the shopping center across from Target & Costco. It's next door to a Michaels so maybe between the two you'll have some luck. There could be some at the A.C. Moore in Ashbrook. If nothing else, Office Depot has some available online.

"These specialty crayons represent skin tone, hair colors and eye colors. Apricot, mahogany, burnt sienna, peach, sepia, tan, plus black and white for blending."

Try Loudoun Learning in Leesburg. It's a teacher supply store and I remember that they carried the crayons last year. If you go there in the morning, Michele should be able to help you. She is the owner of the store.

Note to self - pay the school to get all the supplies ready next year! It's cheaper & easier;) I had found those crayons at Costco a while back but of course they were packaged with glitter crayons and construction paper crayons,..you get the point!

I'm going to be doing this in a few years and I know I'm going to have a difficult time with the teachers.

If the teachers want something so obscure then they should also list the places in which those items can be found/bought so parents are not running around looking in a million different places.

I believe I would buy a regular old set of Crayons, old school style, and the teacher can get over it

As much as I would like to say get over it to a teacher, I can't help but want both my kids to not be penalized for not having the correct supplies on the first day of school.

I called Teacher's Apple in Ashburn and they WILL carry the multi-cultural crayons from Crayola. They are arriving this week. No hoarding!!!!!!
