Hahaha! I agree with redon1, ban the box!

Only I have to agree that if you start the year off on the wrong foot with the teachers, they might take it out on the kids. Sad, but true. I've seen it happen :(

    Hahaha...slightly ghosty.

These crayons are the thin ones. It's the large ones the teachers requested.

I stand corrected...I read two lines on the supply list together. It doesn't say the fat ones...just 8 ct box of crayons. The next line down reads fat Crayola crayons. Regardless, they were/are a pain!

Am I to understand that this box contains only scrawny crayons and 'big-boned' crayons are not included? This is an outrage!

I bet they all come full length, also. Not a short one in the bunch. I'm offended on two fronts!

I say we get together and protest Crayola for their elitist collection of not-very-representative model wax sticks. They're probably all right-handed crayons to boot!

You can't do that. The teachers ar e resposible for keeping up SOL scores and, therefore, must "Teach to the Test." The SOLs this year include a coloring section. In that section the only colors allowed are those from the Multi-Cultural Collection, the "Phat Crayons" (previously called the "Glitter Collection") and the "Alternative Life-style Collection" (formerly called "Pastel"). Therefore - the "Plain Old Collection" is no longer supported.

If I have failed to offend you in this post, please see the Forum Administrator for a refund.

And who actually named the "Standards of Learning" tests. Did they not pickup on the fact that SOL also means :censored: Outta Luck (which is HIGLHY appropriate).

Along these same lines, does anyone know where I can find 2 fat Ticonderoga brand pencils? I need just 2!

I called Teachers Apple (Thursday 2:30pm) and the Multicultural Crayons have arrived. They have 15 boxes in stock.

I need those last year, and I believe I got them at Office Depot! (the pencils, not the crayons)

Don't you mean "vertically challenged" pencils?

We received a message from the Mill Run principal saying that because of the difficulty locating these crayons, they are no longer requiring them.
