Anybody interested in playing some singles. I was rated a 3.0/3.5 - somewhere in between. If you're interested - ping me. We could play early morning or evening.

Just to keep the post fresh, wouldn't mind playing indoors too as we head into the winter. I am member at the ASVP so I should be able to get a court.

If anybody is interested in playing Sundays with a rating of 3.0/3.5/4.0 - please reply. I have a group of folks who are part of a chain of emails and we get together now and then to set up a doubles. The chain is heavy on the ladies but we could use some more men...

Anybody interested in playing - please email me.

Hello -- I have absolutely NO experience with Tennis but am interested in learning the game. Is there anyone out there who would be interested in teaching for about an hour once a week? Or, if you can recommend a class for beginners, that would be great, too. So far, I have found a class with Fairfax County Parks & Rec that starts in September, but I'd like to get started sooner. Let me know! ang_wvu1@hotmail.com

What are the options for tennis groups in the Broadlands. I'd like to get involved if there is a group that plays regularly, and looking for more players.

I have a group of guys I play with - we're all about a 3.0 - 3.5. We have not set up a regular time yet but we are all interested in doing so if we could find enough people to fill in.

    What's your skill level?

    I like to play!
Don't know what the skill levels are, but I call myself an advanced beginner.
What I lack in skill I make up in a long reach!

I also don't know my skill level, but enjoy the game, and would like to join the group. Like Cliff, I'm an advanced beginner. Let me know. Thanks

By the way, how do you determine your skill level? I assume this is set through tournament play, like a golf handicap?

To get rated - contact any local tennis facility. They can unofficially rate you or tell you when somebody certified is in the facility to rate.

I am also interested in playing singles tennis this spring/summer and would be interested in joining a group that plays evenings/weekends.

Mike, do you know your rating? Sorry to be such a tennis snob (trust me - 3.0 is not great) - but, it won't be that enjoyable for anybody if you're not at least near the same level. Tiger and Cliff - I would probably suggest the 2 of you hook up for some singles - seems like you both may be around the same level.

I do not have a rating. What I can say is I'm a 28year old male that enjoys multiple sports- baseball and basketball are probably my best sports. With that said, I'd rate myself as an intermediate tennis player. I'm hoping to play consistently this spring/summer. I definitely don't want to waste anyone else's time, but I'd love to get out and play. I don't mind going through Tennis Dan to get a rating if that's the best way to get involved.
