It's not laziness, the can is still being moved! If people were leaving their can on the street, that would be lazy. Let's not start name calling.

Trailer Trash let me count the ways:
    (1) The moveable basketball hoops that lay them down on the driveway when not in use
    (2) Trampolines
    (3) Not picking up the dog mess!
    (4) Not even using a trashcan!
    (5) Fast food open 24/7 + associated trash in our neighborhood
Trash is trash by any other name even it smells so foul

I'm not on the board, but it is my understanding that you can.

Then WHY is this still an issue? If the bin cannot fit in the garage and it's unacceptable to place it beside the house behide a shrub - then WHY not walk it a few more paces to the back yard? Seems simple enough - so what's the reason?

I have to agree with you there. Nothing like a can full of poopy diapers from two kiddies sitting in a 100 degree plus garage... yummy!! I tell ya what, the day before garbage day comes around it get's pretty darn foul smelling (even makes our entry-level stinky!!)

As plastic does not breathe, how can a SECURELY tied bag emit odor?

We only have one child but we never had issues with reeking diaper smells from our trashcan.

You're kidding, right? You have completely odor-free garbage? You must be one special person!

I'm not saying I agree with leaving trash cans outside. All I'm saying is that I can appreciate the smell issue.

My can emits no more odor than that of a warm biscuit! ;)

Truthfully, my can does not smell much at all since I do not throw loose items that could cause an odor. And if it does start to smell, I do this unique thing, I rinse it out.

Ordorless garbage - wow I never knew there was such a thing...

Anyway, I keep my trashcan in my garage like a good girl - however I also keep the garage door open. And guess what is clearly visible from the street? My garbage can and all the other crappola that seems to grow in my garage. So keeping it in the garage still doesn't keep it out of sight.

This has all been hashed out before on other threads.
To answer one new question, the HOA has the RIGHT to go on private proerty in Broadlands to perform inspections. It's in the documents. Therefore, no trespassing occurs.
