I have been getting numerous phone calls from people only speaking in Spanish asking for me. While I speak Spanish, and yes I'm on the National do not call list, and yes I renewed my number and yes I report the calls, it's seems like they are getting worse and worse, so much that unless I recognize a number I will not answer it. Is anyone else getting this or a similar issue?

    thanks

We have the same problem and get the Spanish calls all the time - I pretend we don't speak Spanish whenever they call - gets them off the phone quickly and hopefully off their list. It is frustrating though, as they don't seem to care at all about any Do Not Call list.

We've been getting a sudden surge of calls from Florida numbers trying to sell us extended car warranties. We're on the DNC list, and I report each call to to FTC, yet they continue. These calls are pre-recorded messages asking you to press a certain number if you're interested, etc. A few months ago, a friend of mine was getting at least 4 of these calls a day, on his cellphone no less. Talk about annoying!

No 'Spanish' calls to report on our end though.

HAHA. I wish we just got the regular calls. The spanish ones are bad cause if my wife answers they are rude to her.

We have two phone numbers and once I hang up with the first call, the other line immediately rings. They are obviously going down their list. I usually answer the other phone "I still don't speak Spanish".

    TACOS!!!!

We have a phone that actually rings differnetly for calls where either the number or the caller ID are blocked. We can easily ignore them. Sadly - it has gotten so bad at work that, like Chsalas, if I don't recognise the number - it goes to VM.

I have discovered that with the recorded calls, if you wait until they are finished then press 3, you can be taken off their call list. Some calls have given the option to do this and then others have a "press 1" or "press 2" option and even though they didn't give the press 3 option, I did it anyway and got the "You have been removed from our call list" in response.

Does that make sense? Fingers and brain are not working well together today.
