I am considering buying a townhome in southern walk. Was wondering if there is anyone here is has already moved into theirs and how they liked it. Also when I was in the model it was extremely hot upstairs. I was told they don't offer a dual zone a/c. Have you found it hot in upstairs of townhome?

    Thanks!

I think it's so hot in the model because they leave their lights on 24/7. Most models I walked through were pretty warm.

Our issue at this point is it's chilly in our master bath but there are a lot of factors contributing (haven't switched the dampners yet, don't have the greatest of blinds in there).

Love our townhouse. I'd buy it again. Has some issues but any house (new or old) has them.

Very happy with the townhouse! We experienced the same heat upstairs but, like JenTimC, it's because we haven't regulated our dampers yet. But the upstairs bedrooms are a lot smaller, so obviously those rooms heat up quicker than the large, open high-ceiling areas in the kitchen/family room area on the main floor. And until we do adjust the dampers, we've just adjusted the vents for now. Otherwise, Van Metre has done a great job with the little things (door hardware, standard options) that most builders would consider upgrades....except, of course, for low-flow toilets...I'd like to shoot whoever invented them.[xx(]

We just recently moved into our place...so far so good. We love it. And even though Van Metre rushed us through the last couple walkthroughs they are fixing all the little things they missed.

We aren't having any problems with it being too hot on the 3rd level...a damper and vent adjustment does the trick.
