We have yet to receive our coupon book for our HOA dues. Does anyone know who I can call to find out when we will get them or who to send checks to?

    Thanks....[:I]

I'm not from Southern Walk, so I am not sure of this... However, my bet is that the folks at the HOA can help you. Call 703-729-9704 or drop by the HOA office in the Nature Center (open Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm).

    ever hear of 'crippling paranoia'?

bankofamerica.com is safe, responding to an email from ebay wanting your credit card info is bad.

a little common sense goes a long way.

LMAO if you think BOA.com or any other website is 100% safe.

Our Credit Union has been doing online banking for years and has never had a case of theft identity from paying bills online. Theft identity is usually the result of poor system security (home - get a FIREWALL!), ignorance (what you should NOT post on the web or e-mail replied to), paper trail (having SSN on checks and othe paper thrown out), and the rare occassions where a company that has your info is hacked.

Okay, am I the only one here who saw mearens wink at the end of the comment? Wink means being playful, joking. Some of you on this board take things to seriously and need to lighten up a little. Not everything posted is ment for a political brouhaha.

Well mommi, she may have been kidding but she sorta contradicts herself with her next post regarding not being "100% safe". I DID notice her wink and I do not think my post was anything more than informational.

Besides, political bruohaha is more fun! :) (wink wink, sarcasm, TIC...)

Ok first, I'm a man. Second, just because you don't think a bank has had an incident of identity theft doesn't mean it hasn't happened. It's rarely reported to cover their collective arse. Client-side firewalls don't protect you from this kind of theft since you as an individual are hardly worth targeting.

If you think my wink was a cop-out that makes your argument even more funny to me since you lost your credibility the minute you attacked me personally. I'm hardly crippled by paranoia and lacking in common sense but thanks for your concern.

Just maybe my wink was an acknowledgment that there are levels of acceptable risk in anything especially the online world.

    Just my $.02
The largest cases of identity theft have not been from hackers. They were the result of someone working on the inside with access to the information who, in turn, sold the information to crooks.

mearan - first, I do apologize for putting gender towards your userid. Now, how did I attack you personally? I mentioned stats from my credit union and opionions on what I beleive are the major reasons for identity theft. And you think that is an attack??? People (in this case you) need to stop trying to read to much into some (some posts are easily translated)these written words since it is very hard to put emotion and espressions towards them. And whether it means anything to you or not, I was NOT attacking you.

To get the topic back on track...

I did receive my payment books (for both Broadlands and Southern Walk).

My question is why are the Southern Walk fees unchanged. The cost to provide the same services has DROPPED in this area, yet our costs do not go down. At what point with the Southern Walk HOA re-examine the cost structure it is paying to Openband.

Here is some information I found out by actually visiting the Openband office.

Our (individual) contracts are with the Southern Walk HOA.
You cannot request a copy of the contract with OpenBand since that is between the Southern Walk HOA and OpenBand.
The only contract you can request is the one betweeen you and Southern Walk HOA.

I closed at the begining of October.
Within a few weeks I received temporary coupons through the end of the year. The first two of these were mark paid due to monies from closing.

I received my 2004 payment booklets about midway through December.
