    Yeah, lets do another LAN Party soon, since I was not able to make the COD lan party, due too a hockey tourney.

    Just a reminder all, the next Tech Meeting will be on Tuesday, April 12th to discuss the next LAN Gaming Day (among other items). At this point we're looking at a minimum of June for the timeframe since the deadline for the newsletter for May will already have passed in April.

    FYI to everyone; I'm an AVID CS Source player. I run a server and everything. If I catch ANYONE running any type of mod or cheat or whatever during the LAN Party, you'll have to personally deal with my wrath. We're all here to have fun and I'm not gonna let anyone ruin it for anyone else. I want clean installs with the official patches. New maps are fine. Anything else that we detect and/or construe as 'cheating', the violator will be pointed out to everyone, with the option of kicking him/her out of the party.

    You have been warned (and very soon, fragged.)

    Mr. Linux,

    What is the name of your server on Steam? I am so sick of playing and having cheaters ruin the game. Most the sites do not have an admin playing so when the cheats so up you have to leave and find another server.

    Sorry FidotheDog; it's a private server on an internal network at work. We use it to make sure our network cabling is clean by periodically flushing the cables and switches with lots of packets of data. Our method involves running a CS server in our development lab, while the developers play CS on it for an hour or two during slow days. When we're done, the cables are nice and clean, with no loose packets clogging the cable paths ;):D;)

    just incase u dont have it u might want to download X Fire. It is bascially AIM for gamers. It lets you chat with friends and even join in there game through X Fire X fire recongnizes over 200 games that have the join feature

    why don't we just start a server and play within our community? I live in Southerwalk and could start a server for just the neighborhood. We could set a time when we can play (afterwork or evenings)

    Community LAN gaming is a great idea. It's all over college campus. All you need is one person to setup a server and everyone connect to it.

    For those in S.W., it's a great way to get our money's worth out of Openband.
