So is BF2 current-era stuff now? I kinda liked shooting germans...

Just checked out the demo of BF 2. Was pretty shocked that it ran well on my machine at my normal display settings. Online play was almost completely lag free which surprised me. BF42 always lagged bad.

I've found a few issues though. The jets are to fast for the map that comes with the demo. Helicopters fly exactly like they did in desert combat, same with the vtol planes. Almost like they took them straight out of DC. I was expecting more. For instance once you have a VTOL plane moving you can not go back to hover.

Infantry combat is still lacking. The guns are very innacurate.

Snipers rule. There is no scope drift anymore so it makes sniping so much easier. They really need to add the drift back in to make sniping more skill oriented.

I really like the new squad interface. Voice chat is also cool (but the server I was on everyone spoke german I think)

Was fun though. Just reminded me to much of DC.
