Wanted Star Wars Lego Sets, C3PO, R2D2 Lego figures

My son has asked for a C3PO, R2D2, and another LEGO figure for his birthday, as well as a Star Wars Lego Set. The set he saw that has these costs $200! Obviously out of the question, so I am looking to see if I can find a couple of these little figures on my own. Maybe a boy that has outgrown his Legos?

You can buy some figures as keychains from lego.com or the lego store. You can then remove the keychain from there head and play with the figures. The only thing is that you can't take them apart but the arms and legs still bend and they can attach to other legos. We have a lot since my kids love them but they aren't about to give them up.

You can also try ebay for some of the charcters.

 

You might also check craigslist if you haven't done that yet.

ebay is about the only way to get individual figures. Be warned that the figures can cost the same amount or more than a complete vehicle set. Legos Star Wars is a very hot collectable item. There is a C3PO figure that by itself goes for over $75. But if you are not looking for a special item or truly mint condition, you can find them on ebay for about $10 each.

Here is the link for the keychains. They are actually kind of cool. They also have pens and they used to have magnets with the figures.

 

I checked out the keychains this morning. They are pretty cool. If you take the keychain off, does it leave a bump or sharp spot on the head of the figure?

 

When you take the keychains out it leaves a tiny thing at the top of their heads but it is not sharp and my boys don't seem to mind; they are 4 and 7. That is pretty mich the only difference. The kids all seem to want to play with the figures and make their own ships and receate the movies.

The store may have more. I know that some of the ones that they used to have are not on the web site. We got Boba Fett and Princess Leia before.
