The sign has moved yet again. This time it si the closest to our homes then ever, right in the safeway gas station. It was on and facing drivers going toward the shopping center.

    if thats the case,

That tacky sign just cancels out the the Nicely lit christmas tree.

if they were smart they would start doing promotions or something instead of using a sign like that.

Buy a meal get one meal 50% off, or like a lunch buffet...
Send out flyers? advertise in the local papers?... it sure beats upsetting the local residents.

Are those townhouse across the street part of our HOA?
    I bet they are pi**ed...
Maybe we should get them involved too?

Oh and the "bling bling SUV" what kind of audience do they think they are trying to advertise to? "if you bling it, they will come..."
and who is they? not me and the wife....thats for sure.

Dang. I got gas at Safeway today and saw two Loudoun Sheriffs in the parking lot at the Steakhouse. I was hoping they were having a friendly chat.

I saw the sign on the way to Starbucks this morning, and by golly, the thing has got to go. Part of me would not be upset if some of the local hoodlums had some fun with the sign and the very "classy" Caddy towing it. (This is not a call for such an action, just merely a statement that it would not bother me personally.)

I have seen threads on the net where people would reprogram these VDOT signs. They usually are left unlocked...

I called Sauls center and spoke to Julie Miller and complained. She said that she is in contact with the new owners and they have just ignored her. She mentioned something about having the sign towed out, but I guess that did not happen. I think we should all call the Sauls Center Managers and complain. Maybe that would make the difference. Maybe not.

The sign moved from Safeway Gas to the area in between the gas station and the steakhouse. I guess Safeway kicked em out.

You can't help but notice, there's a sign every half-mile. "Sign, sign, everywhere a sign, blocking out the scenery, breaking my mind..."

My husband and I always debate the legalities of "cleaning up the abandoned property" on the medians (in the form of the signs) and plastering them all over the inside of our garage. We figure it we could fill the walls in a weekend...

So... A neighbor once told me that the owner of the Buffalo Wing Factory owns a house near me (I know which one) - I don't know if it's true or not but... today I drove past and there was a VDOT style highway sign on a trailer sitting in the driveway of aforementioned house.

Y'all must not have an HOA in the village. Over in these here parts, we can't have a visible trashcan in the driveway, let alone a replica VDOT sign.

regarding the Steakhouse sign....we have friends who live in the townhouses across the street. I'll get the scoop from them and have them call HOA.

Should we be calling the property manager for the shopping center about this? I don't want to flood the HOA if they are the wrong folks to be calling.

I'm getting really p.o'ed about the sign being there.

Also, there was mention that the Karate place vans were going to be towed, which hasn't happened yet. Any updates?

I don't understand the problem with the karate vans in the saul center. They are parked in the lot as normal.. and aren't really visible unless you are in the shopping center. They aren't lined up along the community side or anything. What am I missing?
