I just went to pickup my child from school and my political sign out front was gone. Now maybe it was the wind. However, all of this candidate’s signs on my street were missing and the poles for the signs are still firmly in the ground.

It is fine if you do not like my choice, but it is my choice and my property. The boldness of this is that the people that are missing signs were all at home at the time.

I also know that these signs were there an hour ago so it seems to have occurred between 2:00 and 2:30.

I am so glad we live in a country where free speech is respected!

Have a great day and remember to vote November 4th!

This has become quite the habit.

I know of a house where one political sign was removed and the opponent's sign put in its place. Now that is SOME wind we have here in Broadlands LoL

A neighbour of ours has an interesting sign in the front of their house

    Maverick and Baracudda. LoL

That is the only one of that type I have seen.

That is not the point. The point is that this is my property and my opinion. If someone doesn't agree, place your own sign in your own yard. I won't touch it! I promise!

Between 2-2:30pm; isn't that when some school kids start coming back home?

It was missing before school was dismissed. However, there were quite a few parents parked on my street and a lot walk down this street too. It was not a school age child unless they were skipping school.

So far I have had five signs stolen from my front yard. It is getting pretty tiresome. I have plenty of backup signs, but still, I was thinking that we are all adults and should be able to voice our opinions.

If anyone does need Obama Yardsigns or bumperstickers, let me know with a PM. I promise I won't rat you out.

Put a little sign under the bigger sign that simply reads: "Smile! You're on video!"

Yep - we had a sign stolen from infront of our place. The next sign I put out is going to say "Landmines"

I have considered posting a political sign in my yard but was wondering...

Does the presence of the sign encourage/convince anyone to vote for my candidate or just show my alliance to my neighbors?

A good question. I don't really know what the value is for yard signs. I can, of course, only speak for myself but I would never base my vote on a lawn sign

I don't know really the answer to the question, but I do know that the Obama/Warner/Feder campaign has somewhat limited their use of signs on the public roadways compared to other election years. The focus is on direct contact with voters instead. So putting signs in peoples yards is one way to make up for the lack of signs in the public roadways.

It will definitely be a plus after the election, when the LCDC doesn't have to go out and clean up all those signs. :)

I always thought that yard signs reminded people that they needed to vote and energized the base if you will. I don't think a yard sign would change anyone's mind (at least I hope it wouldn't). However, if it reminds someone to vote or makes someone excited enough for them to vote for their candidate, then the yard sign did some good.

Plus, why not express your support for your guy. But, pretty sad that someone would disrespect people enough to remove their sign.
