Please post your suggestions for future seminars here. YOu can also use this seminar to volunteer to host a seminar.

Try to be more specific than general in your description.

For example, "I'd like to see a seminar on making my wireless network more secure," rather than "I'd could use information on wireless."

    Consider lots of technology issues:
    Email, spam, viruses
    Buying equipment: PC's, peripherals
    Telemarketing
    Web browsers: Security, features, upgrades
    Designing web pages
    Software applications: Basic, advanced use
    Digital Photography
    The list goes on.....

Would there be any interest in a LAN gaming party sometime this summer? We have the entire community center where we can put up tables and link computers together. All you would need to bring is your computer (and perhaps the game we decide on), the web committee can provide all the rest. We should even have a couple extra computers for those without. Any suggestions on games?

    Great idea! I'd play...

Multiplayer games that I currently play are Freelancer, Unreal Tournament (original and 2003), Age of Mythology, and Age of Kings. I'd be game at trying to learn some news ones.

How about something dealing with Home Theater? We could talk about video sources, different types of display devices, home theater audio, speakers, interconnects, install tips, ... whatever! Might be informative to those getting ready to finish a basement theater.

I think the home video/theatre thing would be a great idea...we just need a resident "expert" (ha!) to volunteer to teach...

    Any volunteers?

I would like to be involved in a Home Theater (HT) discussion. I might be able to get a friend to help, he’s a real HT guru. Are non-Broadlands residents welcome to attend?

We just moved into Southern Walk Last Week, and are really loving the community so far!

Two great Home Theater Info websites are:
    www.hometheaterforum.com and
    www.avsforum.com

As long as we have spaces, I don't see any reason why you can't bring a friend.

Doug - We're looking for someone to volunteer to host the Home Theatre seminar for sometime in October...would you (and friend) be interested?

Of course, with full support of the Tech Committee..

Here's a suggestion. I think it would be cool to have the experts and others interested to go to a someones home who has a home theater and for all to give suggestions on how to improve it.
I know I would love for someone to come over to my house and tell me how to make my system awesome.
