Actually, if you run a search on the guy on the Virginia Courts website, there's a whole lot more there that wasn't posted... "Contempt of Court", "Forging of Public Records", etc...

So, it looks like he's more than just a bad driver...

    "FALSE ID TO LAW ENFO"

I'm not 100% sure which code this refers to, but it doesn't sound like something that "bad drivers" normally do. (Whether it's presenting a false ID or claiming a false name.)

Wow, EARL4 I'd hate to be on your bad side too. Guess we won't be seeing you at the Steakhouse.

The place is way too smoky to take the kids. I can't stand smoke in restaurants and at the Steakhouse the stale smoke added to the smokestacks in the bar is enough to gag a maggot. I won't be going back there EVER.

However, I do have to say the cooks occupied the kids during our wait one evening long ago by using their basting brushes to make the grill fire roar. That was the only pleasant experience there.

I know that you would get a lot more business from my family if you were smoke-free. But, I understand that the majority of the profit usually comes from the bar. It's too bad you can't completely isolate the bar from the restaurant.

Agree. We've gone to restaurants that have a smoking section and didn't know it until they asked "smoking or non-smoking?"

I absolutely agree. Our area is crying out for a good steakhouse which provides a smoke-free environment - but the OSH business model may be to focus on the bar and smokers. As much as I like Thai food, we have too many of those restaurants in our area. We find Clydes to be a bit too "upscale" (I realize its fairly casual, but you know what I mean) for a family steak place - we need an Outback, or Longhorn, or a non-chain, good family steak place. Its too bad OSH isn't it now. I noticed the owner posted on this thread - I'd be curious to hear from him if he has considered a different business model, one catering to families and providing a smoke-free (or more smoke-free) environment?

Sounds like this thread is going towards the whole "smoke no smoke" debacle we had about 6 months ago.

There are plenty of options I think to eat around here - and outback is only a short jaunt away (although I don't know if they are non smoking).

I meant something a bit more convenient to us - plus I generally don't like the sterling/cascades area (but I may be in the minority here).

longhorn is at dulles town center - you really consider that not to be convenient? the last thing we need is more restaurants here - especially chain restaurants. we have an abundance (well, except for decent mexican!)! you can get a great steak at bonefish, panache, clydes, and at the restaurants at lansdowne - just to name a few. i know you said clyde's is a bit upscale, but there are other options.

I thought at one point the rumor was that there might be an Outback going into the largest restaurant pad on the left in the area of restaurants where Five Guys is located. We ate at Outback on Sunday in Sterling and was amazed even there in the non-smoking section how much you could smell the smoke which is a shame as other than that it was a great experience (good food, fair prices and great service).

Does anyone know what is going to be going into that large vacant spot?
