    Fellow Homeowners--

Since some of you have contacted in the past Tom Hoover whom we recommended for General Contracting jobs, etc., I contacted Tom Hoover on his cell phone today and he is now back from the Holiday vacation break. He was in South Carolina--I believe. Anyway, please call him again.

I explained to him (because I believe in customer service; and we needed to ask him to do some work for us also!) that several people had PM's or posted concerns because they could not get him to return phone calls and messages. I told him that we had referred him for the Broadlands area for homeowners. He asked us to convey his apologies and for you to consider giving him another chance.

Tom does great work on homes. His business includes General Contractor work for siding, windows, gutters, gutterless systems, skylights, additions to homes, remodeling, basement finish jobs, etc.

He helped us when we built our home on our land several years ago. His contact info is below. Just try him first on his Cell Phone and then the Office Phone. He has a clean work crew, fair-priced, and great deal of knowledge.

    Tom Hoover General Contracting Info--

    Cell (703) 932-4455
    Office (703) 222-5575

For siding, windows, and other home products--check also The Roof Center in Manassas, VA (other locations listed on web site).

www.roofcenter.com (The Roof Center's site/info. Various locations. Manassas, VA has great showroom.)

Any more concerns for homeowners--ask under thread "Homeowners Corner" under my post called "Homeowners Home Work (Consumer Resource Web Sites)...".

    signifer and others--

Thanks for using or contacting Tom Hoover. No, they are not part of our "extended large family".

Just a great business to work with that we recommend.

Foodie, do you know if Tom's dad was named Ron, by any chance? We used a GC named Ron Hoover in the mid-1980's. He had a son, whose name I thought was Tom & Tom did some work with his dad. If GC skills are hereditary, Tom should be excellent!

    Charlotte and others--

    Welcome back--

I do not know if Tom Hoover is related to the Hoover Senior that you know. His business (office), I believe, is located in Fairfax area.

Yes, Tom does great additions, remodels, all General Contracting work, etc.

He reminds me of some "old-fashioned" skilled carpenters, craftsmen, and contractors rolled into one combination.

Check out the "United Foods Buyers Club" post/thread for a Co-op in Herndon for organic foods and products.

    Fellow Homeowners--

Just curious if any of you had contacted Tom Hoover and what you thought of him. If so, would you mind posting info/opinions here on this post for others to view? Good or bad--thanks!

Tom WILL return calls and is very knowledgeable. His company is a "turnkey" operation for ALL things concerning home improvements (i.e. siding, roofing, gutters, windows, additions, basement remodels, etc.) If you need a plumber or electrician and he DOES NOT do the work--he can recommend someone or some company.

Contact info is on this post.

    Thanks--

    Homeowners--

Just curious if any of you have contacted Tom Hoover upon our recommendations for home improvement projects. See previous posts on this thread for contact info.

We think that you will find Tom and his business crew most helpful and good work for your homeowner projects. (No, we do not get any thing out of this--just wanted to pass on some good references for contractor work, etc.)

    Have a good day--

Sorry you haven't been able to reach Tom Hoover. :conf2: After checking my address book for his contact info, the cell and office phone numbers are CORRECT.

Just call his cell phone FIRST and leave a message. I told him that some people from Broadlands would be contacting him. I guess he has been busy.

He will return calls and contact you. I can give you his Emergency Pager phone if you do not reach him on his cell phone first. I hesitate to post his Emergency Pager number; just call his cell or office and leave a message stating that you are trying to reach him. Also, check the numbers with what you have been dialing. Info is correct on thread.

Let me know if you still have problems and I will contact you by PM.

I know you have been trying to reach Tom Hoover and his business. He just returned our call for some work he is doing for us also. Apparently, Tom was riding his motorcycle and had a wreck. He wrecked the bike and broke his cell phone. Tom is okay; however, his partner is Jerry (don't remember his last name) and they have been in business since 1980. Tom will call you back, signifer. I told him that you really needed to talk to him.

    Hope this helps--

    thepea2001 and others--

Since Tom has a motorcycle accident in Myrtle Beach on vacation, he bummed up his arm. His partner, Jerry, (don't remember his last name) is doing his calls. Call the office number tomorrow. I don't know if Tom's cell phone is working. He broke the phone with the accident.

Someone should call you back. Just tell them what your needs are and give them time to call you back.

    CdnJess and others--

I am glad that Tom Hoover returned your calls. I will PM you--CdnJess--regarding your deck and what steps you need to do.

Tom will be doing some work for us also on our farm.

He and his partner, Jerry (cannot remember Jerry's last name), are great guys as is their work crew.
