Why not do this again? All within about a 15 minute drive.

    1. Fuddruckers (best burger)
    2. Five Guys (best fries)
    3. The Counter (Reston)
    4. Chilis
    5. Johnny Rockets

Don't care for Fosters, Red Robin or Cheeburger Cheeburger. Never tried a burger at Sweetwater, but probably should.

Next time your in Arlington go to Ray's Hell Burger. Huge great fresh burgers. For little more than Fuddruckers. Close by my favorite is Five Guys.

for an alternative burger Fuddruckers also has several options (tried the ostrich last night...quite tasty). Next I'll try the buffalo and then the Southwest specialty burger.

I've gotten to know the owner quite well recently and really like his involvement with the community. Yes it's a chain but this franchise is owned by a very nice family and I will support them as much as I can.

I don't eat a lot of burgers so I can't speak for the other places around here.

Hummm, ostrich? I always have made it a policy not to eat poultry that I can ride.

My husband and I finally tried Fosters the other night and I found their burgers to be quite tasty. I love the charbroiled taste, it reminds me of a place in El Paso where I am from.

and how about those FRIES- malt vinegar??? so here's a secret- when i discovered Fosters in Vienna, i used sneal away from work to go ALONE with a book and sit in a corner to eat because i didn't want ANYONE to interrupt my burger and fries experience there... ok so it's no secret.. lol

Several years ago I wanted to join a club for ostrich riding. Unfortunately, we lost focus. Oh and the insurance became a problem. Luckily, I lost interest before I had to buy the uniforms.

Foster's absolutely has the best fries and pretty darn good burgers... when they are done right. But they are simply too inconsistent. Many times their fries are undercooked or way over salted and that just ruins the experience for me.

    My top five would be:

    - Five Guys
    - Fosters (when done right)
    - Blue Ridge
    - Red Robin
    - Fuddruckers

for the Blue Ridge fans, is there a distinction between the Leesburg and Brambleton locations?

In Swiss Family Robinson one of the kids rode on an ostrich during their May Day race or something...right before the pirates came!

I like Fosters the best as well, definitely the best taste.

One negative is that the buns are always stone cold, which disappoints.
