    Coupon Clippers, Foodies, and others--

Start your scissors clipping for HARRIS TEETER'S TRIPLE COUPONS FOR 07/24/08, THURSDAY TO 07/26/08, SATURDAY for your grocery shopping.

While we are flying on our trip, I am writing my weekly articles for a deadline that I have to meet. I am writing about food prices, food shopping hints, grocery couponing, and other money-saving hints/helps for a national magazine that will publish my articles shortly. While researching and writing my articles, I checked on some coupon boards and saw where Harris Teeter stores (ALL) are offering TRIPLE COUPONS soon. Don't forget to read my past posts on COMBINING COUPONS, etc.

With fuel prices and food prices skyrocketing, consumers needs all the help they need--would you not agree?

The coupon board forum I frequent is HOTCOUPONWORLD.COM. Hot Coupon World has Harris Teeter's grocery ad posted for the TRIPLE COUPONS sale. Check it out. Read the forum information and download coupons. They have a downloadable coupon database resource also.

    Web site is below--

    Coupon Clippers and others--

I forgot to mention that you can use Internet and Manufacturers coupons at Harris Teeter. Hot Coupon World also has the SAME COUPONS that are in the inserts of Sunday's paper. Just use the Coupon Resource database and use the Hot Coupon World's coupons and your Sunday paper's inserts for great cost cutting and savings. Harris Teeter also accepts EXPIRED AND OTHER COMPETITORS COUPONS (i.e. Walgreens, Target, and other stores).

Hot Coupon also offers other merchants ads, coupons, etc. Great place to check out.

Up to .99 posted on their website.

From my reading, if your coupon's bar code number starts with a 9 it will not double.

If it starts with a 5 it will double/triple, even if the coupon says "do not double" - it's largely cashier discretion, which is why you take those to the self check :)

Yes, you can use $1 off coupons up to $.99. Read my post called "Coupon Exchange..." dated 06/07/07 under the "General Chat..." thread for detailed coupon savings info. Also, read HOT COUPON WORLD's forum about Harris Teeter's coupons, etc. Also, remember to use COMPETITORS, MANUFACTURERS, DRUG STORES, TARGETS, AND OTHER MERCHANT COUPONS BECAUSE HARRIS TEETER STORES HONORS ALL EXPIRED AND COMPETITORS' COUPONS, INTERNET COUPONS, INSERTS FROM NEWSPAPERS, ETC. Read my other posts on couponing, etc. on the "Area Restaurants..." thread.

The Hot Coupon World forum has now posted HT's TRIPLE COUPON SALE online. Check it out.

If you wish to use BOGO (BUY ONE GET ONE FREE) ITEMS, read my past posts regarding Harris Teeter policies. Also, clip out coupons from Safeway and other grocers ads (that counts as COMPETITORS' COUPONS). If you go on Hot Coupon World's web site, there is a downloadable Coupon Database under the Coupon Resource tabs. Even though we farm, belong to Buying Clubs, and shop other places, we still shop at Harris Teeter when they have the TRIPLE COUPONS SALES.

Anymore questions, PM me. We are in Sarasota, FL, so I will miss this TRIPLE THREAT COUPONS SALE; but Harris Teeter (HT) averages this sale every two or three months. Hot Coupon moderators have been tracking their sales as well as myself.

If you download Internet coupons, don't forget to also use coupons from local and national newspaper inserts. Coupon combining is a great savings tool. Read the Hot Coupon World's site for the "5 and 9" coupon rules.

    Happy Shopping--enjoying Sunny Florida--couldn't help it--

From what I understand about Harris Teeter's coupon policy:

-will double/triple coupons valued up to $.99.
-only 20 coupons per day per household will double/triple
-only three like coupons will double/triple, any more like coupons after that will only be redeemed at face value.
-only two internet printable coupons accepted in a single transaction
-internet printable coupons do not double/triple

Harris Teeter accepts expired coupons?? I have not heard that. The only places that I know of that accept expired coupons are the military commissaries.

Yes, HT does ACCEPT EXPIRED COUPONS. Just be sure you use them. Also, depending on the cashier (or the mood they are in), they will scan expired or manually key expired coupons. The managers at the Reston HT makes sure that ALL COUPONS are honored.

Re-read Hot Coupon World's web site and forum for detailed info regarding coupon combining, etc. Also, search for my posts regarding couponing and other money-savings ideas. Alot to read--but it works. When I shop TRIPLES sales at HT--we have averaged about $200-$300/monthly with ALL the coupons, etc.

There are SEVERAL BROADLANDERS on Hot Coupon World's forum--just check the Grocery Stores links and scroll to Harris Teeter to view info, posts, etc.

Also, if you have "Great Coupon Deals", you can tell the cashier to RING THE GROCERIES SEPARATELY. Also, there are coupon trading sites (see Hot Coupon World's info) and other tips. One key to saving money (couponing or not) is to have a list, menu plan, and go early. Also, another idea is to obtain RAIN CHECKS AND YOU CAN USE COUPONS also.

Even though part of my Food Science & Nutrition degrees are focused on Food Science & Nutrition, I have also published articles and papers on Consumer Education. Therefore, I have an enormous amount of experience with foods, nutrition, and advising consumers on saving money, etc. After having 6 kids under the age of 8 plus 2 adults, I know of what I speak--:scaredeyes:

I can't believe all these years of couponing and shopping at HT that I NEVER knew they honored expired coupons. And to think I wasted all of them by throwing them away!! Thanks foodie for that great tidbit!

Nwfdrool--I saw your posts on Hot Coupon World's site and here on this thread. Yes, HT does honor expired coupons. Don't forget to use $off coupons (i.e. $5 off coupons from mailers, gift cards, etc. from Competitors, tear-out coupons from sales flyers from drugstores--Walgreens, etc.--, and other grocery store flyer coupons in their ads).

I find that the HT Reston location is more "cooperative" when it comes to couponing, etc. By the way, HT's Reston store is the LARGEST in N VA. Managers at Reston HT told me recently. Way more products, etc. Great customer service. Plus when I do shop TRIPLES SALES--Trader Joe's is close by--to Reston's HT. Save gas also by combining coupons, errands, and gas.:clap:

Also, HT now has canvas insulated tote bags (that are washable!) for $5.99/per bag. I keep 4 or 6 bags in both of all of our SUV(s) and trucks for when we travel or shop for items that are perishable. Check it out at HT.

Nwfdrool--you might also check out my posts on "Produce Buying and United Foods Buying Clubs...". Cuts down on having to shop at local stores.

Also, for shopping at HT and using coupons, do not forget to ask for rain checks, managers to overide cashier for expired coupons, Internet coupons, etc. Another tip is to use drugstore coupons from Walgreens and other stores to combine with HT's sales. There is a great Walgreens in Herndon on Elden St. now far from HT in Reston. Pickup extra coupon books and use at HT.

"Fixin" (another Southernism--:pofl:) to ride horses with kids and hubby at grandparents' farm here in hot Sarasota, FL. Percheron horses are what they have for farming and riding.

    Have fun--

I went early this morning and between teh VIC card sales and bogos, and the triples, saved nearly $60.

The cashier let me slide with 21 coupons instead of 20, as per their policy.

    e.g.,

    Windex - VIC card 2/$4

    .75 coupon x 3 = Free windex +.25 overage

Cheerios and Kix - Vic BOGO

    .75 coupon x 3 = 2 boxes of cereal for 1.04

Just got back from HT and tried to use a bunch of $1 coupons. Wouldn't triple. I talked to 3 people there explaining that I thought they would treat them as .99 coupons. Couldn't use them. Only had 1 coupon I could use. I have to say their prices are outrageously high. For example - they had 8 pack of 20 oz gatorade bottles HT reg. price $6.59 on sale $5.59 - Wegmans regular price $5.49!

I'll stick to Wegmans - great customer service, great prices and outstanding produce and meats.
