Hi! Is there anyone in Broadlands, Southern Walk, that would want to show me how to upload images? I've got a bunch of items for sale and would love to be able to show the item.

I have a Sony digital which takes the mini disk. Usually I can just put the mini disk in the CD drive and it is readily accessible but with the Dell notebook I'm using I get the nasty message that it does not recognize/can not read the disk! I then tried to try and figure out how to connect directly with the camera to the 'puter but encountered some difficulties there too.

Have I mentioned lately I don't like computers? :eww:

    Regards,
    Carol

You can't upload images. They have to be hosted somewhere that you can link to. Try photobucket.com or google 'image hosting'.

    Brim,

Thanks for the info but I still cannot "host" them until I can transfer them from the camera to the computer.

    Regards,
    Carol

For the forum you can attach images.. this way they show up as a link someone can click.

For the image to show up as part of the post itself (without clicking on it) the image must be on a webserver somewhere. (like photobucket)

As for the camera to the computer.. not familar with the ones that write to CD. Are you sure you haven't changed a setting on the camera in terms of what it stores as?

    Hi Steve!

Thanks for the info. No; I have not changed any of the camera settings. The only change is that until a few days ago I had been using an IBM notebook and now am using a Dell. With the IBM I just popped the mini CD into the computer drive and I could view CD's with no problems but with the Dell I get the strange error message.

I thought it would be just as easy using the USB port to connect the camera (with disk ) directly to the computer but oddly I cannot get the cable which came with the computer to hook into the computer.

    Regards,
    Carol
