    Tomorrow!....Tomorrow!....I'll love ya, tomorrow...................

Actually the Board reached a decision, anyone except ex-residents who live in Pennsylvania will be allowed to participate on the Forums. :)

Cliff, you forgot the final resolution that was added to that decision; "Ex-Residents, who also served time on the HOA Board, who currently live in Pennsylvania will no longer be permitted to use Smilies in their postings."

Well, that isn't exactly true. As a Broadlands resident, you are entitled to the same privileges, not rights, as other Broadlands residents. If you don't pay your HOA fee, you lose your PRIVILEGE, not right, to use our pools and facilities. If a resident violates the rules of the Forums, they may loseor have that privilege suspended.

    Howdy.

I'd like to thank Cliff for all of his help in getting my account unmuted. I'd also like to publicly apologize to him for privately suggesting that he was the reason my account was muted in the first place. Given the set of circumstances and the reason for muting that I'd received from the TC, this was the only conclusion I could draw at the time. He assured me that wasn't the case at all and I believe him. He's a stand-up guy and you guys are lucky to have him in your corner. I'd also like to thank the people that stood up for me in this thread, I really appreciate the support. And to the people that dislike me, well, I don't think theres anything I could to do change your opinion...you're entitled to it, just as I'm entitled to mine...however different from yours that may be.

That being said, and in my own defense, I'd like to restate that I never received any sort of warnings or notifications from anyone that there had been any action taken against my account. This is the only problem I have with the whole issue and had someone just let me know what was going on, I would have been fine with it. I realize the admins can moderate whoever/whenever they feel appropriate, but I also feel that when such actions are taken, the target user should be informed.

I have no idea when the mute was put in place and on my side, all of my posts were still visible to me so I couldn't tell any action had been taken. So I was happily posting away on topics like yard areation, beer in the garage, and the material composition of the Parthenon and I was the only one that could see it. I was left to my own devices to determine there was something up and ask the admins about it. Had one person just emailed me and said 'Hey, we have a problem with you' that would have prevented this whole mess. I didn't have a problem with the moderation, just the way it was handled.

As far as breaking the rules, I haven't broken any...I'd say the only thing I'm guilty of is occasionaly altering a curse word or using *** instead. Despite my requests, I've never been given any examples of formal complaints made to the TC or Board...only being told that my 'tone and demeanor' have been bad. I apologize if that's the case...I'll be more mindful of my tone in the future. I just want it to be known that I've not broken any rules.

Anyhow, I'm sorry it had to come to all of this and hopefully this is the end of it. I'd just like to remind people that an opposing or unpopular viewpoint or opinion doesn't make that opinion any less valid than your own and like someone earlier said, those diverse opinions foster debates and (hopefully) thought instead of closed-minded rejection.

I'm looking forward to hanging around for a good long while...thanks for reading if you got this far. Feel free to send me an email or private message...or post publically...if you have any questions or concerns.

Nicely said Brim. We might not always agree with each other :) but we can agree to disagree and respect each others opinions. You are a true stand-up guy yourself.

Ahhh, a love feast. Brim is now responsible for another insider term. "I am being brimmed". "I've been brimmed". "Watch out or I'll have you brimmed"

Neilz can you create an icon emotion for that?

    Thanks all. :)

afgm, I think a suitable emoticon for that already exists but if I post it here i'd probably get banned again. :)

    Absolutely love the Avatar!

Now, as for you posting your First name in a previous post, do I detect a tad bit of "humanizing" yourself? Please say it ain't so! ;)

Thanks...I thought it was funny (not that Buffalo Bill isn't). :)

Not really, I just had quite a bit to say and during this whole thing some folks real names got out there so I thought it was appropriate...not trying to garner sympathy. I shouldn't have to humanize myself...jesus, that should be reserved for serial killers and the like. :)
