    The Virginia Conservation Network has made the Virginia Conservation Briefing Book 2008 available online. The 38-page report promotes a clean and safe energy program for Virginia, better coordination between land use and transportation, protection for land and watersheds, and more citizen involvement in important environmental decisions.

    The report includes white papers on topics like global warming, renewable energy, smart growth, transportation funding, wetlands, agricultural BMP funding, forestry issues, and empowering local communities.
