We're debating where to go for Mother's Day brunch/lunch. I saw the add for Vintage 50 and the menu online looks great. However, their pricing is for adults and ages 6-10. No mention of younger children receiving a complimentary meal, which leads me to think they would rather not have children younger than 6?? Most places mention that younger children eat free, if that's their policy. However, it is a Mothere's Day Brunch!!

Other recommendations for kids under 6? Landsdowne is a little too pricey at $65/pp.

I do admit I love Lansdowne for Mother's Day brunch. I have eaten at Vintage 50 a few times and it is definitely an adult restaurant, but if they are advertising a mother's day brunch- it must be for kids too! try calling to see what the charge is for the little ones. the leesburg number is (703) 777-2169
Alternatively I have heard Blue Ridge Grill is great for brunch. I love that restaurant...and I bet it will be PACKED on Sunday (probably just like every other restaurant).
    Happy Mother's Day!!!

I went to Vintage 50 on Friday night and there were kids there. The waitstaff brought them out some toys to play with, too (looked like etch-a-sketches). They also have a kids menu. Hope that helps!

Went there a few weeks ago and there were a lot of kids. The bad news is that the food was very average. I probably won't go back.

mother's day... brunch... mom should lay in bed, kids and hubby should perpare french toast with strawberries and mimosas! :)

seriously- mimis cafe near the mall is sure to have a great menu available and is very kid friendly.

Sals Bar & Grille in Leesburg hired a new chef and will likely have a mothers day brunch- call to confirmt that though...

not your average joes- even if their ISN'T a brunch menu, i LOVE that place- excellent food every time.

Redon1 - great idea to have breakfast in bed! And mimosas to top it off .. I like your thinking!

Someone else had mentioned Mimi's and we haven't been yet. I think it's a great idea for our little ones. And being so conveniently located to the mall, after lunch, I can go shopping ... and send my family home :2thumbs: A little "me" time would be great!

    Thanks everyone!

that's what my guys do for me every mother's day- i don't like the rush and crowds of brunch out on mom's day so they let me sleep in, they bring me a delishish breakfast and we all sit on the bed wathcing whatever goofy show i DVR'd- this year will be the Bugs Bunny movie- the 12 year old Boy should LOVE that!

then they clean up the dishes and leave me alone to read my kindle in peace until it's time for the Boy's baseball dbl header- PERFECT mom's day 3 years in a row!!!

very good kids menu. prices are good- mimi's is the cafe chain attached to the Bob Evans chain! not a cheap as bob Eveans, but waaaay less expensive than Tuskies, Lansdowne, vintage brunches. Great place for eye spy too! very affordable, and i really enjoy their food. the muffins are 2 meals for me and fluffy and delish.

DISCLAIMER- they are not clients of mine... YET! I am not workign for or representing mimis- I am speaking strictly as a consumer!
    Linux? ok? ;)

Redon1, that sounds like a SUPERB mom's day! With our kids being so young, this is actually the first year of trying to find a place and go out. We'll see how it goes; we may end up back at home next year!

Parallel is on Restaurant.com. Restaurant.com has an 80% off code good through May 8th. The code is MOM

You can get a certificate for $25 off of $35 worth of food (dinner only, Sun-Thur) for $3.50 (they're selling the $25 certificate for $17.50).

Pretty good deal if you don't mind going out to dinner on a night other than Friday or Saturday.
