Walkers Coming to Broadlands

    March 16-18 will see several hundred "volkssporters" (people who do folk sports-recreational set-your-own-pace walking, bicycling, and swimming) from around the Atlantic region walking on our trails carrying sheets of paper appropriately colored green for the St Patrick's Day weekend.

    These walkers will enjoy our community trails on 5- and 10-km (3- and 6-mile) routes starting from Broadlands Center Plaza shopping center.

    If you see these walkers, give a hearty welcome. If you want to join, we have copies of the directions at the HOA office. Start anywhere on the routes.

    Only if you have IVV books and want to join in for credit, do you need to stop by the Embassy Suites on Waxpool Road hotel to register ($3).
