Our washing machine is not working at all. A search on this forum recommended Sears for repair but they cannot come out until Wednesday. Can anyone else recommend a person or company for washing machine repair?
    Thanks in advance.

Depends on the make, we purchased ours from Sterling Appliance and have had 2 service calls (in 5 years) each time they came out the same day or the next morning

Thanks, lilpea. It's a Whirlpool. I called. They can't come until Thursday so I guess we will stick with Sears.

I would have to think that repairs are expensive. If you need an alternative you may want to try Craigslist.com. Before a home is foreclosed on sometimes people sell the appliances cheap. Often the appliances are a few years old and even very high-end. Run a few empty cycles with bleach and hot water and your good to go...

    Good Luck,
