Looks like a water pipe is broken . I tried to turn the knob to allow water flow into the pipes into front and back yards. as soon as I turned them on ,I see lots of water coming thru the roof of the utility room and powder room( we live in washington homes in overland park) .

Can someone recommend a plumber that you had used earlier? I looked in the news paper and left messages to a few .Guess they will return calls sometime during next week. Also Does insurance cover this?

    Thnx.

    not your week is it?

Did you forget to shut off the outside bibs before winter? Did you open the outside faucets after you shut off the pipes?

Yikes! Sorry. We had our main water pipe break last year, but it didn't cause nearly as much damage as yours it sounds like. We used Monroe plumbing, and have also heard great things about Wacker plumbing. Peed is another one to try. I would think one of these 3 has an emergency number for the weekend.

It was a $2500 repair, and hate to say it but insurance didn't cover any of it. Your policy could be different. We have Allstate.

DO definitely call the LCSA (County water) on Mon. and tell them about your leak. They will adjust your bill. They were great to work with. We were losing almost a gallon a minute and they adjusted our bill to almost normal.

    Good luck!
