Yesterday and today there has been a huge truck cleaning up and down our street. It is so loud it sounds like jackhammers right outside the window. There is a guy with a hose walking alongside it, and he blows the dirt (not that there's much- i mean they just did it yesterday- and even then there wasn't much) out from the curb.

Why don't they just sweep it? If he's walking anyway- and I'm sure that truck and it's high-pressured-air-blower-that-wakes-my-baby-up-thingamajig cost a lot more than a broom.

it wasn't a broom, it was a sandlblaster or media blaster. I think they are preping the curbs to be painted. That would be my guess.

Correct, they were stripping the curbs.

...and just wait until they sandblast it right up your steps, driveway and into your foyer steps! We contacted Van Metre after spending hours washing away the little black beads which got traipsed into our house. They are supposed to sweep now, but don't hold your breath. They were right back out the next day...

Come on know if they used a broom it would take days and the mess would just blow into your yard anyways.
