    Hey guys -

Whats the name of the bushes many of us have around our house that bloom all those big pink, red, etc colors in the later half of the summer? (aprox 8 to 12 feet tall)

    Thanks -
    Brewer

When I read "bush" I was thinking he meant azalea -- until he said 8 to 12 feet tall. He's probably talking crepe myrtle like T8 said.

Myrtles are more of a tree than a bush.

Well, I can't think of it off hand. On the side of my garage I have 2 Knockout rose bushes that are very large and look like on big bush about 5-6 feet high. The flowers have a pink-ish magenta color

I give him a perfect 10, and a golf clap.

As it is a translation and a common name, it can be spelled correctly either way.

The southern traditional spelling is "crepe" because the flowers resemble the paper of the same name.
