When is Wendy's opening?

Has anyone heard of a date yet?

 

They're just finishing the interior, I don't believe they've started moving equipment in yet. I would look for late January - February ...

My son is looking at getting a job there. He had an interview last night at the Wendy's in Cascades, and starts training there Friday night. He told me that they told him that they are opening next week, although I don't see how, from the looks of the place.

 

Wow .. that would be fast, they haven't even paved yet, and I didn't see any equipment. Then again, it really doesn't take that much to get most of that food service equipment installed. Most of the new stuff comes on wheels so it can be moved easily for cleaning.

We've not heard anything official at the HOA, so all you can do is quess by what you can see from the outside. I agree, it doesn't look like it would be ready, but a Grand Opening next week would be cool. I can taste that double with cheese right now

I will say I drove by Wendy's the first time in months and they are moving at the speed of light Plenty of workers putting the finishing touches. They just may open next week or at least before Christmas!!!

It is amazing how fast private enterprise can build something when not bogged down like the famous street lights going in and still no poles standing.

They are not putting in stop lights at those two intersections. What really is happening is a permanent training program showing trainees how to properly dig in the dirt with shovels. It will never end in our lifetimes.

I will not be able to stop laughing in my lifetime.

 

DAD4 ... has your son gotten any updates?? From the looks of things, they're still doing some exterior work, although the 'Now Hiring' sign has gone up in the window.

Yes We are now hearing 1-20-2005. I'll be glad...I'm getting tired of driving him over to Cascades for his training

I don't think so. My son told me that there was a hold up due to failing one of their inspections.

 

Looked like there was some employee training going on when I passed by earlier today

They were washing the windows and spraying off the parking lot as I just drove by. Looks like it might be tomorrow (?)

Hey .. I've been waiting for a 'Wendys double with cheese' available locally for a while. I've always had to head to Leesburg or Sterling to get one.

Now, when Chipote opens ... ah ...
