Check your furnace room for one - I have heard that some homes in Broadlands had one in there that was tied to the outside outlets/circuits...

You already checked the circuit breaker in the breakerbox, right?

Yes, all circuits look fine, although I flipped them just in case. Thanks - still searching.

ok hampshire, you have a mystery. I have a Fitz model and have had this problem too. Like you, I found the GFI in the basement (mine is unfinished) on a stud near the breaker box. The stud is labeled "GFI" so this helps. My lights and lamp stopped working outside and I could not figure this either. Now I did find a GFI in the powder room on the main level. That I believe covers the upstairs master bathroom.

What I would also suggest, if you have them, is to go back to your Van Meter diagrams. Each outlet should be labeled there too for reference. This is how I found another outlet in the garage, on the wall closest to the front door.

I ended up having to test each outlet in the chain to isolate where the short was happening. In my case, there is a short somewhere between 2 outlets. I had to get help and ended up moving my outside outlet to the terminating box by the hose bib instead of near the front door.

But for me, the GFI in the basement is what controlled the outside outlets and lamp. Follow the cord from the outlet in the basement and see if it goes that direction. Unfortunately, it may not be as simple as resetting the GFI.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. Found the GFI hidden behind boxes in the garage. But we still needed an electrician as the reset didn't work. One of the wires was totally disconnected.

For others in other Fitz versions, I found ours tonight by accident. All the wind and rain must have tripped something in the outdoor Christmas lights. The lampost and everything out front was off. I found our GFI in the basement below the breaker boxes. I just am not sure if that's where it always has been or if our basement contractor moved it when we finished the area. We're in a 2004 Fitz II.
