    Hi,

We are looking to get a whole smoked turkey for next weekend. Does anyone have a recommendation on where to get a good one?

    Thanks,
    Richard

    signifer--

You can get a smoked turkey already smoked with applewood and hickory chips at the NEW Whole Foods Market at Fair Lakes Parkway in Fairfax, VA near Fair Oaks Mall. You might need to "Special Order" just check at store. Web site is below.

www.wholefoodsmarket.com (Whole Foods Market web site/info.)

Whole Foods new prototype store is better than Wegmans. Their smoked turkeys, chicken, ribs, and Southern-style BBQ is great (pork and beef brisket). Great food and service. Hours are Sunday through Saturday 8 am to 9 pm--I believe. Check web site for info.

Foodie is correct about Whole Foods. I forgot about Dalyn getting smoked turkey's from Whole Foods when we lived in Austin Texas. Back then they had to be special ordered. Boy this brings back memories of one of my favorite places I have Lived. on Lake Austin in Austin Texas:) Thanks foodie for the memories you don't even know you gave to me ha ha ha ha ha:clap:

    Lee and others--

Lee is correct about Whole Foods stores. The NEW Whole Foods in Fairfax far surpasses Wegmans. Of course, for you "diehard" Wegmans fans, you can shop in Fairfax for Whole Foods and Wegmans.

What more do you want in a grocery store? Homemade Gelato, Brick-Oven Pizzas, Handmade Pastas and Italian Food Bar, Huge Steam Tables of Fresh Salads and Organic Vegetables--Roasted or Steamed, Grain Salads Bar, Prime Rib freshly made ALL the time at the Food Stations, Fresh Coffee and Tea bars, Fresh Desserts Bar, Fresh/Raw Oyster and Seafood Bar, Sushi Bar, Deli and Fresh Ready-Made Meals for Carryout, Indian, Oriental, Thai, and Chinese Food Bars, Smoked Turkeys, BBQ (Southern-Style), Smoked Turkey Legs, Smoked Ribs, BBQ and Rotisserie Chickens, Artisan Breads/Pastries, Fresh Organic Meats, and the list goes on!

Check it out--great place. Lee, you ought to take Dalyn to the Fairfax Whole Foods Market. You might even find the store's new layout good--no flex buildings here!

Lee--thanks for the kind remarks about my jokes. Sometimes our life is like "living on a Funny Farm--even with 6 kids!":)

    Have a good weekend--
