    Speakers:
Oya Simpson, Co-Chair Broadlands Certified Wildlife Habitat Committee
Lori Seidmeyer, Co-Chair Broadlands Certified Wildlife Habitat Committee

Presenters will share their experience in organizing and managing a first time Earth Day event. See how this event went from a small, community event with anticipated attendance of 300 to a county-wide event which brought more than 3000 people. Topics covered include getting support from the Counties Board of Supervisors, School Board, and other Environmental Agencies to promote as well as attend the event. Also, marketing strategies, soliciting volunteers, fundraising, and working on a shoe string budget.
