Wish List for Loudoun County?

Wish List:

-A Recreation Center here in Broadlands!!!
Indoor gym, workout, basketball, club activities, social, room rentals for kid parties/meetings, classes, driving range, racket ball, olympic pool with lessons, lockers, etc...
-A large Book store or another Library
-Protection of environment near streams and ponds
-Use of trees and landscaping to keep area beautiful
-Lower tolls on the Greenway (be considerate to fellow drivers)
-Less strip malls
-sporting goods store close by without going to Sterling (baseball / soccer / outdoor supplies)
-Small Luxury Hotel/Spa close by (mother in law would really like this!)
-Sweet Water Cafe or other kid friendly restaurants not in strip malls
-Wine store with wide selection
-A golf / tennis / swim club closer to Broadlands
-Slower development / less traffic
-Improved school districting
-More speeding enforcement in neighborhoods
-Wegemans - or gourmet shop
-More unity amongst different communities

Ummm, Loudoun pretty much has everything you listed, and much of it very close already.
This thread is not a wish list for just Broadlands but for "Loudoun County".

 

Yes, we need the rec center. Its a shame that voters approved a similar rec center in South Riding in 2006 which serves a much less populated part of the county but failed to support a rec center for the Ashburn area. Amazingly, the majority of voters in South Riding voted against the Ashburn area rec center.

We also need more real parks like Fairfax. Loudoun govt. seems to think all we need is soccer, softball and football fields.

 

Less nail salons, martial arts studios and Thai restaurants in our strip malls. More book stores, sporting goods stores, clothing stores, shoe stores, a dollar store, an office supply store, etc.
