Does anyone know when Wyndridge and 722 will be open to Exit 6 on the Greenway? (See Broadlands site map http://www.broadlands.org/pages/home_pages/siteplan_big.html ) Last time I rode my bike down Wyndridge from Claiborne and Ridgeway and noted that its paved almost to where 722 would intersect. Recently I saw that VDOT? had begun grading a new section of 722 from Exit 6 towards Wyndridge. When these roads open it will cut at least 5-8 minutes off the route to Southern Walk from the Greenway south.

Was wondering if anyone knew of an answer to this question. I am considering buying in Southern Walk area and am concerned about traffic issues and access to Greenway.

    Lisa,

the route is to go through eventually, alot depends on when the developer decides to finish up. However, your concern about traffic is understood, but is not really necessary. You have two access points to the Greenway from Southern Walk, three once that road goes through.

Currently, you can turn right and take Waxpool to Ryan and hit the Greenway at the Ashburn exit there. Or, the route that may be faster to get to, straight down Claiborne to the Greenway exit there.

The congestion starts on the Greenway usually about 8:15 am. I used to travel to Reston every morning at 6:45, and I regularly arrived in Reston at 7:05 or so.

    Hope this helps.
