:clap:Just had to share our dining experience last night. We ate at Yen's Cafe over by Fitness First/Subway in Ryan Center (http://www.yenscafe.com/)

What fabulous Chinese Food! The cafe is way too small on the inside, but the menu is grand. They have your american favorites - sesame chicken, sweet/sour, general Tso's...but the chef also brings in his Taiwanese background with more traditional cuisine!

They also have a selection of exotic teas and juices that can't be missed.

There are reviews for Yen's on Yelp.com, so I won't go on here, but you have got to try this place if you are a fan of Chinese Food!!!

We love, love, love Yens. The food is great (best Sesame chicken and pork fried rice EVER). I did carry out a few weeks ago-while I was waiting one of the women made me an awesome juice. I really hope this place makes it. It is a great addition to the community.

We also eat at Yens regularly, they are super nice people and the food is piping hot. The hot and sour soup is divine and the crispy sesame beef is amazing also. They do a lunch special which is great value. The main dishes are enough for 2 people to share, enjoy :]

We ate there tonight and were impressed with the service, food, and the whole experience. They offer fresh squeezed juices and smoothie style juices. My child tried the orange juice and they were trying to convince her to try the strawberry-orange one but she chose regular OJ. Later they brought her the strawberry-orange one for free and she loved it -it was like a smoothie.

They also gave us a couple of free dessert samples they were testing and those were good, too.

All in all, they tried hard to make us happy and they were successful. We'll definitely go there again.

We had a late lunch/early dinner there yesterday. The service was refreshingly friendly and helpful. Even brought over some tea just because. Food was excellent, the entree portion was huge, good thing we split it but still had leftovers.

I've been to Yen's several times and have been pleased every time. From the outside, it appears to be one of the Chinese fast food joints, but that couldn't be further from the truth. I'm not big on tea, but they have a huge selection.

We like the food -- but the other night there were like 6 small pieces of chicken in our sweet and sour chicken and a ton of veggies to hide the small portion -- all the meals were small portions except for the fried rice, which container was full. For what they charge I expect each container to be full or near full, or at least to provide as much food as the other chinese places around here, considering they charge more.

How about their use of MSG and other additives? Does anyone know for a fact? Is it more chinese gourmet or fast food?

Yen's is excellent. Go there at lunch for a spectacular deal. Not the cheapest lunch combo, but the food is fresh, tasty and abundant.

The wait staff is so nice.

As far as MSG, I didn't ask, but it doesn't feel like the kind of place that would take short cuts.

Another Fan of Yen's. We really like the place and the service. I'm a little worried about how empty the place often is though. I hope it makes it.

Maybe they do more business in the carryout or delivery.

Personally - I wish more Asian restuarants would add MORE vegetables and less meat.

Yen's website states they use NO MSG and 100% Vegetable Oil. This is NOT fast food, this is well-prepared high quality food. Our experience has remained extremely positive! Check them out!!

Okay tried Yen's last week after all the great reviews. Can't say I agree with everyone about this restaurant. Some things were good, some bad. Service was a little disorganized... my wife said the beef in her dish was terrible. Tea was great. Mine dinner was okay but nothing truly exciting. Before anyone says I like "American Chinese" and this is too authentic. Let me put out there that I have been to China, and prefer the more realistic dishes. My time and money will be returning to Cafe Opera.

We got takeout from here last week and thought it was fine. Not fabulous, certainly nothing bad. But I think I'll stick with Hunan Cafe in SW Plaza. They're a little cheaper, very quick delivery, and I really like their veggies.

We stopped in to try something from the juice bar last week and were told that currently all carry out is subject to a 20% discount in honor of their one year anniversary.
I asked how long it would be going on and didn't get a definitive answer, but the juice-barista (is that a term!?) said it would be for "a while".
Another reason to try them out!
She said they're also offering free desserts with dine in meals and they're holding contests as well.
Anyhow, I asked for a mango based drink and kind of made it up as we went along. It was a fresh mango that she peeled and cut up in front of me, ice, orange juice, and yogurt. I usually don't like icy drinks but the blender they use is like super powered so the ice wasn't even icy, it was really good!
