Sorry, Redon, but you haven't been to our Haus.... Next year for Oktoberfest you're coming over! I have to say that our German au pair (and her parents when they were here) cooked up some lecker, lecker fare!

Pate Baguette with pickels...or a TRUE French Bakery.

Once a month we drive to Savage, MD so I can get my French on @ Boneaparte Breads.

Good Korean food. I loved this cheap but yummy Korean restaurant in NYC. Best stuff, ever. Still dream about it.

We used to eat at Jimmy G's. I think Santini's is just as good - we go several times each month.

Head over to GranMart @ 28/29 Intersection and you can get some great Korean food in the grocery store and/or restaurants in that immediate area.

Or you can ping me and I can send you some of our family's favorite recipes.

It sounds like another Northeast Ohioan transplanted in Northern Virginia!

Another vote for a real cheesesteak. Note to restaurant owners: if you have to call it a "Philly Cheesesteak" it's probably not really a cheesesteak, so please stop trying. I'm not sure if we could ever get real cheesesteaks down here though because they require fresh Amoroso rolls which are only made up in Philly.

You should try this place, Redon - Bavarian Chef on Route 29 near Charlottesville. Pretty drive, great food:

Yup, Diana! Whenever I'm in Sandusky, I make beeline for the New Sandusky Fish Company and then finish off my gluttony with a stop at Toft's Dairy for ice cream. It's tough to eat that much at one time, but it's what I gotta do!!

A real Jewish deli where I can get a Corned Beef or Pastrami Sandwich piled to the ceiling! Not Boar's Head meat, the real stuff.
