Hi all! I recently purchased a home in Broadlands (relocated from Utah) and I am looking to get my two sons, 10 and 7, into some sort of summer sports program (soccer, baseball, basketball, anything...). Does anyone have any recommendations for me? Or is it kind of like Utah, where the recreation programs take the summer off? Thanks in advance!

Summer is generally camp time. Football through AYFL starts the first week of August and is a huge time commitment (but an excellent youth program). Dulles Sportplex may have some summer programs aside from their camp programs. Also, Diamond Sports training in Sterling may have some programs in the summer (baseball). Good luck and welcome to Ashburn!

Check with the swim teams also. I'm pretty sure the Broadlands teams might be full, but one of the teams takes a waitlist: www.broadlandsswimteam.org

Also Snow Swimming and Curl Burke.

    Welcome Home!

Check out the Loudoun County Parks and Recreation site for summer camps. There are all kinds of sports camps. Most of the highschools offer their basketball camps through here (some are for 4th grade and older).

Check-out Jumping Jacks Sports. They're located off Loudoun County Pkwy, off of Waxpool. They offer a variety of sports classes and camps. My kids loved the Mega Sports class, which was an introduction to all of the sports you mentioned. They should offer a variety of fun programs for your kids' age groups. Good luck!
