Exclamation Loudoun Alerts: ALEXANDRIA, VA – Antoine Duane Terrell, 40, of Greenbelt, Md

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Antoine Duane Terrell, 40, of Greenbelt, Md

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Antoine Duane Terrell, 40, of Greenbelt, Md., pled guilty this week to trafficking more than five kilograms of cocaine to street dealers throughout Maryland and Virginia. Neil H. MacBride, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia; Steve Simpson, Loudoun County Sheriff; and Colonel David Rohrer, Fairfax County Chief of Police, made the announcement after the plea was accepted by United States District Judge Claude M. Hilton. An investigation into street cocaine dealers by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office led investigators to Terrell, who, according to court documents, had supplied several lower-level cocaine dealers in Northern Virginia with cocaine. Terrell provided such cocaine dealers with as much as a kilogram of cocaine at a time. After a series of controlled drug buys, Terrell was arrested outside the Beltway Plaza Mall in Greenbelt, Maryland by officers with the Fairfax County Police Department on Sept. 29, 2009. Law enforcement later seized a duffel bag filled with more than $80,000 in cash from Terrell’s vehicle. Terrell pled guilty to conspiring to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine on Feb. 1, 2010. He faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years and a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison when he is sentenced on April 16, 2010. This case was investigated by the Washington/Baltimore High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force, with substantial assistance from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and the Fairfax County Police Department. Assistant United States Attorneys Dennis Fitzpatrick and Michael Ben’Ary are prosecuting the case on behalf of the United States.
