My son is rising Junior at BWHS, we are looking for summer SAT Prep course. I know BWHS offers Kaplan, but there are many other options out there. Would love here current feedback on good, bad reviews. It's a lot of $$ to spend on a waste. I already researched most of them online, but curious if anyone has any strong opinions (This forum usually does

An excellent question. I'm biased here, because I have tutored for the math part of the SAT and ACT for the last 21 years, since I was in high school. I work for Fairfax County Public Schools, and have an undergrad and Master's Degree in Math Education. A co-worker of mine, who is an English teacher, tutors for the Verbal and Writing part of the SAT. I have many references if needed as well.... if you are looking for 1-on-1 tutoring, I'm happy to help (and I live in Broadlands). If you want more information (flyer/brochure), I am happy to provide it. The last 2 students I worked with went up significantly (one went up 250 points in the math section, and the other student went up 110 points in the math section). I also have somewhat flexible hours, especially in the summer... Have a great day!

One additional note, if you are looking for more of a classroom format, Kaplan, Princeton Review, and Studyworks are all decent options... just depends on what you are looking for....
