Hello, I live across from Clyde's and have for 8 years. We've been very concerned with the traffic that leaves the bar at closing Friday and Saturday nights, along with the speeders and drag racers along Broadlands. This weekend, it finally happened. Someone hit the fence behind our houses and left some serious damage, and quite a bit of their vehicle. Talking to the Officer, he classified it as a hit and run and something that might finally get the attention of LCSO to make a presence weekend nights. He recommended anyone who lives in this area (corner of Chickacoan and Broadlands, or along Broadlands in general) to persistently call the traffic hotline if you witness reckless driving. Its really a problem, and now with the speed limit increased its not going to get any better. Luckily, no one was injured. And hopefully it will never come to that. Thanks.

I was wondering, I noticed the sheriff's car pulled over and what looked like a pretty large bush also that was taken out.

The speed limit on Broadlands needs to be 35. Then most speeders will only go about 50. I have trouble crossing Broadlands from Chickacoan to Clydes for my 1/2 price burgers on Saturdays. Also, taking a right off Chickacoan is tough with cars whipping down in excess of 50mph.
