We have a Maytag French Door model, which I love, with the freezer on the bottom. It was, I believe, the first French door model on the market to have water and ice in the door. Now there are more to choose from, but I can recommend the Maytag. We've had it for about 5 years and haven't had an issue with it.

We've had our Samsung RSG257AA for a bit over a year. It was the only model we could find with ALL our requirements (cabinet depth, water/ice in door, LED lighting, water filter, side/side). It's been great! Reliable and cheap to run (according to the EnergyGuide). I think the LED lighting makes a big difference:
1) does not generate heat 2) uses very little energy 3) bulbs last a long time The built in can rack in the door and wine rack above one shelf are awesome. Our only issue is that the vege drawers aren't very deep - but that's a result of the cabinet depth design - only 24" deep case. But, I love that it doesn't stick out 4-5" from the cabinets like a standard fridge. Overall, it's been a great fridge and I'd buy another Samsung if I needed a new fridget.

Well, we decided on a Samsung from Best Buy (we had to act fast!). Thanks so much for all of the input!

A follow up on our new Samsung refrigerator...we love it so far! It is huge and holds so much food. I really like the pull-out middle snack drawer, too. The French door model took some getting used to, but we really do like the new layout now. We ended up buying through Best Buy.
