Default Suspicious death of an Ashburn teenager.

Loudoun County, Virginia- The Loudoun Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the suspicious death of an Ashburn teenager.

The body of Rodrigo Nicolas Vitullo, 19, was found Thursday in a common area along Windmill Drive in the area of Ridgeview Place in Ashburn Farm. Investigators are working to determine if the victim may have been walking to another residence in the Ashburn Farm area. The victim was only wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.

Sheriff’s Investigators have learned the victim was with a few friends at a residence in Ashburn Village on Wednesday night. Two of the friends say they dropped the victim off at his home around midnight on Ardmore Street in the Broadlands area.

Around 9:15 AM Thursday the Sheriff's Office received a call from a resident who reported seeing a person lying near some trees in the area of Windmill Drive. Sheriff's Deputies responded to the scene and found Vitullo unresponsive. Although there were no obvious signs of trauma, the circumstances surrounding the death of Vitullo are suspicious in nature.

He was taken to the Office of the Virginia Medical Examiner in Fairfax County. Medical Examiners are working to determine the cause and manner of death. Investigators are awaiting the results of a toxicology report.

Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity or may have seen the victim walking in this area is asked to contact the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office at 703-777-0475. If the caller wishes to remain anonymous, they are asked to call Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919.

From everything I have read, the results could take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks. Probably mid to end of January.

Loudoun County, Virginia- The Office of the Virginia Medical Examiner ruled Monday the death of an Ashburn teenager in December was an accidental overdose. Based on interviews and evidence, all indications are the teen walked from his home in the Broadlands area to the Ashburn Farm area. It was in this area the teen succumbed from the accidental overdose of a narcotic pain reliever.

Around 9:15 AM on December 14, 2007, the Sheriff's Office received a call from a resident who reported seeing a person lying near some trees in the area of Windmill Drive. The body of the teen was found in a common area along Windmill Drive in the area of Ridgeview Place in Ashburn Farm. Loudoun Sheriff's Deputies responded to the scene and found the teen unresponsive. There were no obvious signs of trauma.

During the course of the investigation Sheriff’s Investigators learned the teen was with a few friends at a residence in Ashburn Village the previous night. Two of the friends say they dropped the victim off at his home around midnight on Ardmore Street in the Broadlands area.

bet if they check the medicine cabinets they'll find perscription drugs missing. i don't think any one realizes anymore how dangerous mixing or taking script drugs can be- vicodin, dilaudid, oxycontin- all can kill you when used imporperly.. sad. i hope the schools and parents ensure that the message is pounded into these kids' heads.

A couple of weeks ago several students at Harper Park Middle School were taken to the hospital because they had OD'd on oxycontin. Seems someone got into the medicine cabinet at home and passed it around to friends. One of the kids took 10 of them at once, according to the student I spoke with.
