Audubon Naturalist at Broadlands

The Audubon Naturalist Society is pleased to present five camps this year in partnership with the Broadlands Nature Center! Summer nature day camps are designed to give campers fun, exciting, and educational experiences with nature while making new friends. Daily activities include hikes, games and crafts. These camps offer hands-on experiences with nature. All camps are taught by experienced environmental educators, have a maximum class size of 16 campers, and maintain a child-teacher ratio of 8 to 1. Camps are held at the Broadlands Nature Center.

Registration forms can be mailed to or dropped off at the Nature Center. Registrations received after May 23, 2008 will be charged an additional fee. Each child may register for only one session of camp.

All registrations are first-come, first-served. A completed registration form and full payment is due at the time of registration. ANIMALS AROUND US
(For children entering pre-K or K in Fall 2008; your child must be at least 4 years old by June 1, 2008)
Date: June 23-27, 2008; Time: 9:00a.m. - 12:00p.m.
Date: July 7-11, 2008; Time: 1:00p.m. - 4:00p.m.
Many exciting animals live at the Nature Center and even more live in your own back yard. Discover these animals and get up close and personal with our own rabbit, snake, turtles and cockroaches. We will then explore their wild relatives. Through hikes, crafts, books and more, we will discover a little more about the animals around us.
$130 per child ($145 per child after May 23, 2008)

COME TO YOUR SENSES (WAIT LIST)
(For children entering 1st and 2nd grade)

Date: July 7 - 11, 2008; Time: 9:00a.m. - 12:00p.m.
Explore the wonders of the natural world using our senses of hearing, seeing, smelling, and touch. Then we will express and interpret nature’s themes through music, movement, crafts, games, and creative dramatics.
$130 per child ($145 per child after May 23, 2008)

WILD CREATIVITY
(For children entering 3rd and 4th grade)
Date: June 30 – July 3, 2008; Time: 9:00a.m. - 3:00p.m.(no camp Friday, July 4th)
Discover nature through drawing, painting, constructing, and acting in this creative camp. The plants and animals in Broadlands will guide our outdoor explorations and inspire our projects. Let your creative side out in this wild camp.
