Last year the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors approved funding to widen Belmont Ridge Road to four lanes between Broadlands Boulevard and Truro Parish Drive. This widening project will include a traffic signal at the intersection of Truro Parish. Supervisor Williams plans to facilitate a community meeting on this project next week:
Community Meeting – Belmont Ridge Road Widening Project
Hillside Elementary School (43000 Ellzey Drive, Broadlands)
July 23rd, 7:00pm
Representatives from the Loudoun County Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure as well as the Virginia Department of Transportation will be on hand to answer questions associated with this project. Additionally, a representative from Lennar, the contractor building the road, will be available to share details about the construction process.
If you have any questions about the meeting, please email email@example.com or call his office at 703-771-5088.

It’s our 9th season and Flicks is presenting another night of family entertainment. Come join us for tonight’s showing of Rise of the Guardians at approximately 8:45PM on the Nature Center lawn. Bring a picnic dinner – or pick up something from one of the great local restaurants – and stake out your spot on the lawn. Coolers, lawn chairs, and picnic blankets are welcome. Free popcorn and drinks are provided. This is a popular event, so come early for a good seat!
One lucky person will take home the DVD of tonight’s movie in a random drawing from all attendees. Tickets for the drawing are distributed before the movie starts. Drawing will be held immediately after the movie and winner must be present.
Here’s a short synopsis of tonight’s movie:

Welcome to the “new and improved” Broadlands HOA website! It’s been quite a while in the making, and we continue to make improvements.
While the organization is slightly different from the “old” site, you’ll still find the popular stuff: design guidelines, pool information, newsletters – and an upgraded version of the discussion forums.
Best of all, you can now access all this information on your mobile device – even the forums. This new site is entirely mobile optimized!
There will be a Stone House Committee Meeting on Tuesday June 25, 6:30-7:30pm at the Community Center located at 43004 Waxpool Road to discuss future renovation efforts on the walls, roof, porch, and landscaping.

Pet waste left on trails, sidewalks, streets, and grassy areas is carried by stormwater runoff into storm drains and into the watershed. Broadlands’ trails are dotted with Mutt Mitt stations with supplies to properly dispose of pet waste. The stations and disposal bags are provided by the HOA. Please remember to pick up after your pet. For more information about the impact of pet waste on the watershed, check out Loudoun County’s brochure, Scoop the Poop: Be the Solution to Stormwater Pollution.
