Upcoming Trail Repaving Work:

  • Monday-11-2 – Crews will remove trail at the Nature center and will have a paving crew repave by end of today
  • Tuesday-11-3 – Crews will remove asphalt trail on the Wingfoot section of trails and will have the paving crew start in the afternoon
  • Wednesday-11-4 – Paving continues at Wingfoot trails
  • Thursday-11-5 – Paving crew complete paving Wingfoot trails
  • Fire lane painting in various places

Slurry Seal Road Work Continues with VDOT Contractors

These are fast operations that only impact the locations marked and where ‘No Parking’ signage is posted. Contractors will maintain safe traffic flow during these operations. Full access parking will be available after operations in the specified areas that are complete and at the end of the work days. This schedule is based off of the Contractor’s submitted work schedule and may be impacted by weather. Contractor may arrive on site before the start time of 8:00AM to prepare for work. Equipment will be parked at various locations during the progression of work and at the end of the work shift. No entrances or family recreation areas will be impacted by this equipment parking.

PLEASE NOTE: Trash/recycling services MAY be affected if your street is scheduled for maintenance. Since VDOT’s schedule could change at anytime, we are not able to reschedule trash services. Patriot will make every effort to service your street on trash days, but if  roadwork is underway and your trash/recycling cannot be collected, you will need to place your bins out again on the next scheduled pick-up day.

Notice From VDOT: Paving on Vestals Gap Drive Week of August 22

Slurry Pavers, Inc. will perform paving services next week on Vestals Gap Dr. from Claiborne Pkwy to Glebe View Dr. No Parking Signs will be displayed 72-hours prior to the commencement of the operation and door hangers will be distributed 24-hours prior to as well.

Paving Update

After weeks and weeks of rain, Fairfax Paving and Excavation was able to get into the community to perform some concrete work Thursday and Friday, May 19 and 20.  Crews posted notices on Wednesday, May 18.  The schedule is as follows:

Crew 1: Thursday will be on Sunstone and Westdale courts

Friday they will be in section 11 (Iredell Terrace, Riders Square and New Bridge Square.

Crew 2: Thursday will be in section 7 (Center Post Terrace, Frame Square & Crossbeam Square)

Friday they will be in section 8 (Welby Terrace, Field Station Terrace & Ivywood Terrace)
