Broadlands supports its residents and surrounding communities through a variety of community outreach programs. STEP SISTERS CHEMO CARE BAG COLLECTION, Sep 1-30th>>

Step Sisters, a non-profit organization that focuses on patient support, will be collecting donations for Chemotherapy Care Bags to prepare and comfort patients as they begin chemotherapy. From Sept 1-30, drop off at back left patio of Nature Center (bin on left side of shed) Details>>

GIRLS ON THE RUN>> Register now for 2021 Fall session!

Girls on the Run team will be held in Broadlands again for the fall session! Register now through September 7th. This will be a 10-week session, held on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week from 4:30-5:30pm at the Nature Center grounds. Register at www.gotrnova.org or call with questions at 703-273-3153.

WOMEN GIVING BACK>> Accepting donations again!

CLOTHING COLLECTION DRIVE: Support Women Giving Back by donating women’s clothing, shoes and accessories, along with boys & girls clothing, and winter coats for women and children. All Sizes. Please review DONATION GUIDELINES first!

WHERE TO DROP OFF: Donations can be dropped off at the HOA office at 21907 Claiborne Parkway. The donation bin is located on the back left patio, on the right side of the shed.

PLASTIC BAG RECYCLING PROGRAM IS BACK ON>>(click for details)

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING RECYCLING

  • Bring your plastic grocery bags, single use, and case overwraps to our drop off site in front of the Nature Center building. Look for the bins to the right of the front door with this FLYER>>
  • While we are restarting this program for residents to drop off plastic bags, please be aware NOT ALL PLASTICS are eligible for this program. Accepted plastics are listed HERE>>
  • When unaccepted plastics are included, they contaminate the entire collection.
  • DO NOT include plastic cups, lids, straws, hard plastics such as laundry detergent bottles.
  • DO NOT include any grocery plastics OTHER THAN the bag you carry groceries home in, cereal bags and bread bags. The bags that cheese, fruits, pet food or toys come in are NOT ACCEPTABLE.
