The Loudoun County School Board is beginning the process of searching for a new superintendent. The firm of Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates has been hired to help with the process.
As one of the initial steps in the process, the School Board is seeking your input on the desired characteristics and skills that you would like to see in the next superintendent. Please share your thoughts by responding to the survey linked below.
As you respond, please remember that all characteristics listed are desirable, but we are interested in knowing your perceptions about which characteristics are “most important” for Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS).

Loudoun County has launched a public health needs assessment to better identify those issues that are important to the community, how quality of life is perceived in the community, and what assets the county has that can be used to improve the community’s health. Last year the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors approved funding to widen Belmont Ridge Road to four lanes between Broadlands Boulevard and Truro Parish Drive. This widening project will include a traffic signal at the intersection of Truro Parish. Supervisor Williams plans to facilitate a community meeting on this project next week:

Representatives from the Loudoun County Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure as well as the Virginia Department of Transportation will be on hand to answer questions associated with this project. Additionally, a representative from Lennar, the contractor building the road, will be available to share details about the construction process.

Your Events Committee is sponsoring a Commercial 57 Passenger Luxury Bus (bathroom included) to shuttle between the Nature Center and the Festival. The Bus will depart from the Nature Center at even hours (10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm). The Bus will depart the Festival for the return trip to the Nature Center at odd hours (1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, 9pm).
